Creed Community
We’re Creed Community CIC — built from the ground up to give young people in Coventry a safe space, a sense of belonging, and a brighter future.
Our story
Where we came from
Growing up in Coventry, our local youth club was a lifeline. After-school sessions, football tournaments and boxing classes gave us a safe space, a sense of belonging, and — without us realising at the time — the blueprint for something much bigger.
We're Mush and Saf, and we set up Creed Community CIC to bring that same energy back to the neighbourhoods we grew up in. Areas where youth clubs have vanished, parks lie empty, and young people are too often left with nowhere to go.
We started with nothing but a ball in the park and a belief that every young person deserves a chance. We said from day one: funding or no funding, we'll still do this. Because the kids come first — always.
What we believe
The pillars of community sport
Confidence
Young people who barely spoke in their first sessions go on to lead, mentor and inspire. The transformation is real and it starts with showing up.
Self-discipline
Sport teaches you that results come from effort. That lesson — learned on the pitch or in the ring — carries into every part of life.
Belonging
Community sessions create bonds that last. A group of strangers becomes a team, and a team becomes a support network.
Inclusion
Sport is for everyone. Creed reports that nearly 40% of participants are female — breaking down cultural barriers and proving that sport has no boundaries.
"Whether it's five kids or 40, we'll be there — because knowing there's something to look forward to can be the difference between drifting away or staying on track."Saf, co-founder, Creed Community CIC
Impact
Small actions, lasting change
What we understood from the start is that consistency matters more than scale. Turning up every Wednesday and Saturday — rain or shine, funded or not — sends a message to young people that they are worth showing up for.
We wouldn't be where we are without Positive Youth Foundation, who supported us in our early days and now reaches over 3,000 young people each year across education, training, health, mentoring and sport. They started with a bag of footballs. We started with a ball in the park. That's the ripple effect in action — and it's what drives everything we do.
Get involved
How you can be part of it
Whether you're a young person looking for somewhere to belong, a parent searching for a safe and positive outlet for your child, or a local organisation wanting to make a difference — there's a place for you here.
Our community sessions are built on the same values that drive everything we do: showing up, working hard, and looking out for one another. No experience needed. No judgement. Just sport, community, and the belief that every young person deserves a chance to thrive.
If you'd like to get involved, support what we do, or partner with us to help more young people in Coventry — we'd love to hear from you.
